Who is the man of 4:26?
What aspects of the church would be considered “the seed”? What are the qualities of the seed that is cast?
What does the action of the man of 4:26 tell you about the Christian life?

What causes the seed to grow?

Applications: The faithful farmer sows the seed. He prepares. He labors diligently. He works and waits patiently for the seed to germinate and grow. So it is with the preaching of the Word of God. The faithful minister scatters the seed and patiently waits for the Holy Spirit to bring forth fruit in the people's lives.
The truth of the parable will lead us to concentrate on proclamation.
