Family Worship: February 11-17

Parents, and especially fathers, are called to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Deut. 6:7; Eph. 6:4). One aspect of this calling is to faithfully lead your family in family worship. There are many ways to do that. Below are some suggested family readings and topics of conversation.

~Lord’s Day, Feb. 11~

Read 1 Tim. 2:5. Consider and discuss the role and function of a mediator.

~Monday, Feb. 12~

Read Hosea 9. Discuss Hosea 9:1-9. What is the central warning in this section? What is that punishment sobering?

~Tuesday, Feb. 13~

Read 1 Tim. 2:5. Discuss why you are in need of a mediator. Consider the consequences if Jesus is not your mediator.

~Wednesday, Feb. 14~

Read Hosea 9. Discuss Hosea 9:10-17. What word pictures are given in this section, and what do they mean?

~Thursday, Feb. 15~

Read 1 Tim. 2:5. Discuss the comfort that comes to you, knowing that Jesus is your mediator and praying for you.  

~Friday, Feb. 16~

Read Hosea 9. Discuss the consequences of the sin of God’s people as given in this chapter. Discuss the eternal consequence that will come to all those who reject Christ.

~Saturday, Feb. 17~

Read 1 Tim. 2:5. Discuss the different ways that Jesus is your mediator. Extra: Use the worship guide sent by the pastor on Saturday in preparation for worship on Feb. 18
