Daily Prayer for October 8, 2020

Prayer: Our Father, you are a kind and gracious God, forgiving sin and transgressions through the work of Christ in his active and passive obedience. Through our union with Christ, we enjoy the assurance of your love, peace of conscience, joy in the Holy Spirit, the increase of grace, and perseverance to the end. As our Father, you give to your children that which they need. Each day you show forth your Fatherly care for us in giving to us that which we need. Through your care, we enjoy our daily bread and the means to that end. We thank you for being kind to us. We ask you that we would enjoy the several benefits of this life and your blessings with them this day. We ask that you would indeed provide us with those things that you know we need as you have promised to do. We pray for greater trust in you and that fruit of the Spirit that moves us toward patience in your good timing as we wait upon you. Help us trust you, Father, and lean not on our own understanding,, knowing that your Word tells us that you will direct our paths. We pray this in the Name of the Savior, your Son, our Lord. Amen.
