Daily Prayer for October 20, 2020

Prayer: Our God in heaven, we thank you for not treating us as our sins deserve. We praise you for your patience with us knowing that we often fall short of your glory and demands. We confess that we are not always patient with others, often responding in harsh ways with our words and actions. Forgive us for failing to see how kind and compassionate you are towards us and help us to strive to be temperate, gentle, and long-suffering with others. We give you thanks for your Son, the one who served and suffered out of a heart of great love and pity of our miserable state. Grant to us the help we need to mirror our Lord and live out the terms of the Gospel before others. We pray this in the name of Christ. Amen.
