Daily Prayer for October 15, 2020

Prayer: Our God in heaven, we humbly bow before you today as your people -- a people with many needs and concerns. Many things are competing for our time and attention in this world, and other things are causing us to fret. We plead with you, the god of providence, that you would help us to labor faithfully today as those called to do all things to your glory. We confess our worry and anxiety and know that you have told us to cast all of our cares upon you because you care for us. Yet, we still stumble in these matters because we are frail people who find ourselves facing difficult and hard things. Instead of praying, we turn to worry. Help us find comfort in pouring out our hearts before you and relying on your love and affection for us. Go before us today and cause us to trust in you with all of our heart we pray in the name of Christ. Amen.
