Daily Prayer for October 10, 2020

Prayer: Father, we thank you for your divine plan to give your people one day in seven to be refreshed by your presence. We are blessed beyond measure with your abiding promise to speak to your people through the preached Word. Though we know that you use the preaching of your Word, the living voice of Christ speaking, we also confess to you that we are sometimes negligent in preparing to hear your Word. While you give us this ordinary means of grace, we confess our lack of zeal, at times, and ask that you would forgive us and help us to make our minds and hearts ready to hear the preaching of your Word on the day that you ordained for the good of our souls. We pray this in the name of Christ. Amen.
