The Morning Devotional: Prov. 8:34; 1 Pet. 2:1-2; Luke 8:18; WLC 160

The Morning Devotional for April 7, 2021
The Preaching of God's Word, Part 8

32 “And now, O sons, listen to me:
blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction and be wise,
and do not neglect it.
34 Blessed is the one who listens to me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting beside my doors. (Prov. 8:32-34, ESV)

So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation (1 Pet. 2:1-2, ESV)

Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.” (Luke 8:18, ESV)

WLC 160 What is required of those that hear the word preached?
